Error occurs after clicking ‘Unlock and Meet Vizzy’ button when ending onboarding process

Severity:

Critical

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is on the ‘Welcome to Sintra’ page.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Tap the ‘Get Started’ button.
  2. Input whitespaces in the fields at each step of the onboarding process.
  3. Proceed to the ‘AI Features&Privacy’ page.
  4. Tap the ‘Continue’ button.
  5. Verify that the user is redirected to the ‘Almost there – ready to meet Vizzy?’ page.
  6. Tap the ‘Unlock and Meet Vizzy’ button.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.2.1

Actual Result:

An error message ‘Error. Something went wrong, please try again’ is displayed.

Expected Result:

The user should not be able to proceed with whitespace values in the mandatory fields.

‘Create from media’ option fails to generate new content

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user has uploaded media in the ‘Brain AI’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Automations’ tab.
  2. Select the ‘Social Media Manager’ option.
  3. Tap the ‘Create Content’ button.
  4. Tap the ‘Create from media’ button.
  5. Select the ‘Add from media library’ option.
  6. Select a media item.
  7. Enter the necessary instructions.
  8. Tap the ‘Generate 1 post’ option.
  9. Wait for a few minutes.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 18.6.2

Actual Result:

No post is generated, and the ‘Nothing to review’ message is displayed.

Expected Result:

The user should be able to view the generated post.

‘Failed to connect Gmail’ error is displayed after first attempt to connect app with Gmail

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is on the ‘Brain AI’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Tap the ‘Connect integrations’ button.
  2. Tap the ‘Add’ button next to Gmail.
  3. Tap the ‘Add new’ button.
  4. Tap the ‘Connect to Gmail’ button.
  5. Select the Gmail account you want to connect.
  6. Tap the ‘Continue’ button and proceed with the connection process.

Actual Result:

The error message ‘Error. Failed to connect to Gmail’ is displayed during the first attempt.
Note: The user successfully connects to Gmail on the second attempt.

AI content creation starts before required Social Media Manager setup

  2. The Social Media Manager hasn’t been set up.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Automations’ tab.
  2. Tap the ‘Social Media Manager’ option.
  3. Tap the ‘Create content’ button.
  4. Tap the ‘Create from media’ option.
  5. Add media from the library.
  6. Enter the necessary instructions.
  7. Tap the ‘Generate 1 post’ option.
  8. Verify that the ‘Soshie is crafting your posts’ status of the request is displayed.
  9. Wait for a few minutes.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 18.6.2

Actual Result:

The ‘Setup Social Media Manager’ status is displayed.
The process seems to regress from producing content to the setup phase.

Expected Result:

If the Social Media Manager setup is required, the user should receive a prompt to complete it before AI content generation begins. This ensures a sensible ‘prerequisite → processing → result’ flow.

Inbox tab incorrectly displays unread messages when Inbox is empty

  1. The app is installed.
  2. There are a few items in the ‘Inbox’ tab (one of them is a to-do item).
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Perform to-do items and read all unread items.
  3. Check the ‘Inbox’ content.

The ‘Inbox’ tab indicator displays an incorrect count of unread messages.

The ‘Inbox’ tab indicator should accurately reflect the count of unread messages.

‘Error. Failed to upload files’ occurs when attempting video upload in ‘Brain AI’ tab

Severity:

Major

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is on the ‘Brain AI’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Tap the ‘Plus’ button.
  2. Select the ‘Upload’ option.
  3. Select the ‘Tap to add media or files’ option.
  4. Select the ‘Photo library’ option.
  5. Upload a file under 20mb.
  6. Tap the ‘Add’ button.

An error message stating ‘Error. Failed to upload files’ is displayed.

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is on the ‘Brain AI’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Tap the ‘Plus’ button.
  2. Select the ‘Upload’ option.
  3. Select the ‘Tap to add media or files’ option.
  4. Select the ‘Photo library’ option.
  5. Upload an image.
  6. Tap the ‘Add’ button.
  7. During the uploading process, tap the ‘Delete’ icon.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 18.6.2

Actual Result:

The file disappears from the ‘Upload files’ list, but is still uploaded and displayed in the ‘Brain AI’ tab.

Expected Result:

Upon tapping the ‘Delete’ button during file upload, the system should exhibit one consistent behavior:

  • Option A (recommended): The ‘Delete’ button should be disabled while the upload is in progress, preventing deletion until the upload completes or fails.
  • Option B: If deletion during upload is supported, the upload process should be fully canceled, and the file should be removed from all correlated sections, including the ‘Upload files’ list and the ‘Brain AI’ tab.

The file must not disappear from one section while remaining available in another. This ensures the UI and backend remain synchronized.

I discovered several issues in critical functional areas during testing that adversely affected app reliability. The presence of such bugs in crucial functionality makes the user experience less seamless and enjoyable. Rectifying these issues by implementing robust QA practices will considerably enhance the product quality, enabling the app to more effectively realize its powerful concept.
