The platform offers diverse capabilities allowing users to transcribe, edit, and share transcriptions directly. It supports multiple speakers and languages, time-stamping, and even allows dialect tweaking for improved accuracy.

The QAwerk team conducted a bug crawl to assess Scribbe AI’s performance and functionality. We have identified a few bugs that affect the platform’s performance, most of which are related to localization features. We invite you to review our findings to understand the platform’s strengths and weaknesses.

Weekly subscription price differs between subscription screen and App Store confirmation pop-up

Severity:

Critical

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. A new user has been signed up.
  3. The user is on the ‘Get the Pro Plan’ page.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Observe the ‘Weekly’ pricing on the ‘Get the Pro Plan’ page.
  2. Select the ‘Weekly’ price.
  3. Tap the ‘Continue’ button.
  4. Observe the pricing on the App Store confirmation pop-up.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The app paywall shows a weekly price of $6.99, while the App Store confirmation pop-up displays a higher weekly price of $7.99.

Expected Result:

The subscription price displayed inside the app should match the price shown in the App Store confirmation pop-up.

PDF export filename becomes invalid (_.pdf) for Ukrainian transcript language

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is logged into the app.
  3. Transcript language set to ‘Ukrainian’.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Make a recording.
  2. Verify that the transcript has been created successfully in Ukrainian.
  3. Tap the ‘Export to PDF’ button.
  4. Send the file.
  5. Observe the exported file name.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The exported PDF filename is displayed as ‘_.pdf’.

Expected Result:

The exported PDF should display a meaningful, valid filename, which includes the transcript title and localized text.

Page scrolling is blocked when swipe gesture starts from audio player area

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is logged into the app.
  3. A transcript of a meeting exists.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open transcript/details page.
  2. Place your finger on the audio player area.
  3. Start swiping vertically to scroll the page.
  4. Move the finger outside of the audio player area while continuing the gesture.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The page does not scroll when a swipe gesture is initiated from the audio player area, even after the finger is moved outside the player overlay.

Expected Result:

The page should continue scrolling normally when the vertical swipe gesture moves outside the audio player area.

App Store hyperlink is missing in PDF export, while present in Word/DOCX export

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is signed into the app.
  3. A transcript of a meeting exists.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open the existing file.
  2. Tap the ‘Export to PDF’ button.
  3. Open the exported PDF.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The App Store hyperlink is missing in the PDF export, while it is displayed in the Word/DOCX export.

Expected Result:

The App Store hyperlink should be displayed consistently across all supported export formats, including PDF and Word/DOCX.

Non-clickable informational items are visually displayed as actionable menu items

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Settings’ section.
  2. Tap the ‘Some icons by icons8’/’Version’ menu items.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The items do not respond to user interaction despite being visually styled similarly to clickable menu options.

Expected Result:

Informational items should be visually distinguishable from actionable menu items.

Date and Duration labels are not localized in exported transcript when non-English Transcription Language is selected

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is logged in.
  3. Transcript language set to German.
  4. Transcript exported as a PDF or Word/DOCX.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open the exported file with the German transcription.
  2. Observe metadata labels below the title.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The transcript content is translated into German, but metadata labels ‘Date’ and ‘Duration’ remain in English.

Expected Result:

All labels in the exported file should be localized according to the selected language.

While testing the app, I discovered several issues with localization consistency, data export behavior, subscription pricing display, and UI/UX interactions. As a QA specialist, I recommend conducting regression testing to pinpoint potential high-risk issues, particularly those related to subscription pricing flows.
