Bugs found in Moescape – Character AI & Art for Android
Moescape is an innovative app that transforms everyday photos into vibrant AI character artwork, available on both iOS and Android. Users can select from various styles to create personalized, eye-catching images.
Our QAwerk team recently ran a detailed Bug Crawl on Moescape, uncovering several issues that could affect user satisfaction and app stability.
Below are our carefully documented findings with a focus on improving app reliability and experience.
Previously hidden photo in 'Likes' tab reappears after tab switch
Severity:
Major
Precondition:
User logged in.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app and log in.
- Navigate to the ‘Gallery’ tab.
- Select and open a photo.
- Tap ‘Like’ on the photo.
- Go to the ‘Profile’ tab.
- Open ‘Likes’ tab.
- Tap the liked photo to view.
- Click the three dots under the photo.
- Select ‘Hide’.
- Confirm photo disappears from ‘Likes’ tab.
- Switch to the ‘Notes’ tab.
- Return to the ‘Likes’ tab.
Environment:
Poco F4, Android 13
Actual Result:
Hidden photo reappears after switching tabs.
Expected Result:
The photo should remain hidden until manually unhidden, regardless of tab switching.
Hidden photos re-emerge upon re-entering user profile

Precondition:
User logged in.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Go to the Gallery.
- Open a photo from another user.
- Tap the user’s nickname.
- Open a different photo in their gallery.
- Click the three-dot menu below the photo.
- Tap ‘Hide’.
- Verify the photo is hidden.
- Exit and re-enter the user’s gallery.

Actual Result:
The hidden photo reappears after exiting and reentering the gallery.
Expected Result:
Hidden photos should stay hidden even after exiting and reentering.
Changes appear saved despite error, but vanish after app restart

Precondition:
User logged in.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Log in.
- Go to Profile → Edit Profile.
- Paste lengthy text in Pixiv and Discord fields.
- Click Save.
- Observe the error in Pixiv and Discord fields.
- Return to Profile page – changes and icons appear.
- Restart the app and check the profile.

Actual Result:
Changes disappear after the app restarts, despite initially appearing saved.
Expected Result:
Either prevent saving if an error occurs or save successfully so changes persist.
No character limit for Pixiv and Discord fields in profile edit form

Precondition:
User logged in.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Log in.
- Open Profile → Edit Profile.
- Paste large text in each social media field.
- Observe character limits missing for Pixiv and Discord.
- Attempt to save.
Environment:

Actual Result:
No character limits on Pixiv and Discord fields; error occurs on save.
Expected Result:
Pixiv and Discord fields should enforce character limits like other fields to prevent invalid inputs.
ControlNet dropdown does not collapse on AI Art tab

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open ‘AI Art’ tab.
- Tap the down arrow next to ‘ControlNet’ to expand.
- Tap the right arrow next to ‘ControlNet’ to collapse.

Actual Result:
Dropdown remains expanded and does not collapse.
Expected Result:
The dropdown should collapse when the right arrow is tapped.
Ukrainian dates displayed in English app version on Balance page
Severity:

Precondition:
App language set to English.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Go to Profile settings.
- Open ‘Balance’.
- Observe ‘Activity’ table dates.
Environment:
Poco F4, Android 13
Actual Result:
Dates are shown in Ukrainian despite the English setting.
Expected Result:
Dates should match the selected English language format.
