Elevate – Brain Training

4.8

Elevate is a brain training app designed to sharpen people’s cognitive skills. The app was developed by a team of seasoned neuroscience and cognitive learning experts and further expanded with independent research. Elevate offers over 35 engaging games for one to enhance their reading, writing, speaking, and math skills. With consistent training, you’ll be surprised to see how easily you count your restaurant tips, how many typos you spot in emails, and how enriched your writing gets. What’s more, the training intensity is fully customizable, which allows each user to progress at a comfortable yet challenging pace. Upon the first interaction with the app, the user undergoes an initial screening test to determine their existing skill set and select only those milestones one is interested in achieving. Perhaps you are excellent at math but have difficulty expressing your ideas clearly or vice versa? Elevate’s personalized approach to every consumer solves this problem and suggests only those games that match your learning goals. If you are a competitive type, the Performance Tracking feature is just for you. It allows measuring your performance against yourself and other Elevate users, which may be an additional motivating factor to exercise regularly.

We have tested many personal growth and mental health apps, yet Elevate’s concept is radically different. We were also curious if the holder of Apple’s Best App of the Year award has any bugs left unattended. Here is what we managed to catch.

Elevate is a fun app for boosting one’s productivity and self-confidence to another level. I appreciate the opportunity to advance my skills not only in speaking, reading, and writing but also in exact sciences. Because of its personalized nature, the app is a great fit both for pupils, college students, and adults. Overall, the app is very well built. I would only remove redundant error messages upon canceling subscriptions, double-check if pop-ups are indeed informative, and fixed the issue with the email getting hidden by default without notifying the user.
