App gets stuck on white loading screen after submitting itinerary with invalid date range

Severity:

Major

Precondition:

The user is on the ‘Create Itinerary’ screen.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Start creating a new itinerary.
  2. Select a ‘Start Date’.
  3. Select an ‘End Date’ earlier than the ‘Start Date’.
  4. Fill in other required fields if applicable.
  5. Tap the ‘Create Itinerary’ button.
  6. Observe the result.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.6

Actual Result:

The app accepts the invalid date range and starts creating the itinerary. The user is then stuck on the loading screen without any validation or error message displayed.

Expected Result:

The app should prevent submission when the date is invalid and clearly indicate that the ‘End Date’ must be the same as or later than the ‘Start Date’.

Unrelated places are returned for exact place name search

Severity:

Major

Precondition:

The user is on the ‘Search’ screen.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Enter ‘Honest Greens’ or any other specific search query.
  2. Keep the ‘All’ tab selected.
  3. Scroll through the returned results.
  4. Observe the places displayed after the relevant ‘Honest Greens’ results.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.6

Actual Result:

Along with matching Honest Greens locations, the search returns apparently unrelated results, such as Barcelona, Yperokeanio, etc.

Expected Result:

Search results should be relevant to the entered query. Exact and closely related matches for ‘Honest Greens’ should be returned or prioritized, while places with no apparent relation to the query should not be presented as matching search results.

Last search result is partially covered by bottom navigation bar

Severity:

Major

Precondition:

Search returns enough results to make the page scrollable.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Search’ screen.
  2. Enter a search query, e.g., ‘London’.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the search results.
  4. Observe the last result.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.6

Actual Result:

The last search result is partially obscured behind the bottom navigation bar and cannot be fully brought into the visible area by scrolling.

Expected Result:

The user should be able to scroll the last search result completely above the bottom navigation bar so that the entire item and its available information and actions are visible.

‘Unfollow’ button text is incorrectly displayed on ‘Friends’ screen

Severity:

Minor

Precondition:

The user has at least one account displayed under the ‘AMIGOS’ tab.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open the user profile.
  2. Navigate to the ‘AMIGOS’ tab.
  3. Observe the action button next to a friend.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.6

Actual Result:

The ‘Unfollow’ button is displayed with incorrectly truncated/overflowing text (Unfollo…AmiGo), resulting in a broken UI.

Expected Result:

The button label should be displayed correctly (e.g., ‘Unfollow AmiGo’) and fit within the button boundaries according to the design.

‘Unfollow’ button text is incorrectly displayed on ‘Friends’ screen

‘Private Account’ toggle state is not synchronized between ‘Edit Profile’ and ‘Account Status’ until app restart

Severity:

Minor

Precondition:

The user is logged in.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘Edit Profile’ section.
  2. Change the ‘Private Account’ toggle state.
  3. Navigate to the ‘Privacy & Security’ → ‘Account Status’ section.
  4. Observe the ‘Private Account’ toggle state there.
  5. Close and reopen the application.
  6. Check the setting again on both screens.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.6

Actual Result:

After changing the ‘Private Account’ setting, the updated state is not immediately reflected on the other screen. The screens display inconsistent toggle states during the same app session. After restarting the application, both screens display the same state.

Expected Result:

The updated ‘Private Account’ state should be synchronized and displayed consistently across all screens immediately after the setting is changed, without requiring an app restart.

While testing AmiGo, I discovered several areas for improvement, mainly related to data synchronization between screens, search relevance, input validation, and some UI issues. Fixing and retesting these areas, along with better error handling, would make the app more reliable and provide a smoother user experience.
