It leverages AI search to help users select places that match their desired vibe, be it a quiet cafe for work or a stylish speakeasy for a night of fun. The app also allows you to make reservations or order delivery directly.

During our bug crawl of Wanderboat, the QAwerk team uncovered several bugs that could compromise the effectiveness of this great system. We invite readers to explore our findings, understand the implications of these bugs, and learn how addressing them can significantly improve user experience and system performance.

Community posts do not match displayed selected location

Severity:

Major

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is in the ‘Community’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Check the current location preselected in the top left corner.
  2. Compare this with posts displayed in the ‘Community’ tab.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The displayed posts do not correspond to the selected or preselected location in the app.

Expected Result:

The posts should correspond to the selected or current location. Alternatively, the system should clearly indicate whether the posts are displayed globally, regardless of the selected location.

Duplicate lists are created when ‘Confirm’ is clicked multiple times due to pop-up’s unresponsiveness

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is in the ‘My Profile’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Switch to the ‘Saved’ tab.
  2. Tap the ‘Plus’ button.
  3. Enter the list name.
  4. While the pop-up is frozen, tap the ‘Confirm’ button multiple times.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

Multiple lists with identical data are created.

Expected Result:

Only one list should be created per user action. The ‘Confirm’ button should be disabled after the first click, and the system should prevent duplicate list creation.

Likes notifications setting is reset after reopening application

Severity:

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user is in the ‘Settings’ tab.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Verify that system notifications are enabled.
  2. Select the ‘Likes’ option.
  3. Enable the ‘Likes’ notification.
  4. Close the app.
  5. Reopen the app.
  6. Navigate to ‘Settings’ → ‘Notifications’.
  7. Open the ‘Likes’ section.
Environment:

Actual Result:

The ‘Likes’ notifications toggle is disabled after reopening the app.

Expected Result:

The ‘Likes’ notifications should remain enabled after the application restart.

Updated username is not immediately reflected on user’s posts

  3. The user has created at least one post.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Navigate to the ‘My Profile’ section.
  2. Tap the ‘Edit Profile’ button.
  3. Update the username.
  4. Tap the ‘Save’ button.
  5. Check the username on the created posts.

Actual Result:

The previous name continues to appear on posts for a period after the update.

Expected Result:

The updated profile name should be instantaneously reflected across all user content.

Persistent processing state after adding audio preferences in ‘Book a Stay’ tab

  3. Audio settings are enabled.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Enter location, dates, room preference, and guest count.
  2. Tap the ‘Audio’ icon and record voice input specifying room or location preferences.
  3. Tap the ‘Search’ button.

Actual Result:

After incorporating audio preferences into the ‘Book a Stay’ process, the search spinner remains visible for over two minutes without displaying any stay options.

Expected Result:

Search results should be presented within a reasonable timeframe. Alternatively, the user should be presented with a distinct error or timeout message, including options to retry the operation or modify preferences.

Auto-selected location does not match user’s actual location

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open the app.
  2. Observe the preselected location.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

The app automatically selects a nearby location rather than the user’s actual/current location.

Expected Result:

The app should accurately determine the user’s current location or clearly indicate when the selected location is approximate, and allow the user to update it manually.

‘Share’ button is not responsive on video post

Severity:

Precondition:
  1. The app is installed.
  2. The user has created a post that includes a video.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open the app.
  2. Navigate to the ‘My Profile’ tab.
  3. Open any video post.
  4. Tap the ‘Share’ button.
Environment:

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS version 26.4.2

Actual Result:

No action is triggered when tapping the ‘Share’ button on the video post.

Expected Result:

The user should be able to share the post.

Turncated and impossible to expand content messages in various screens

  2. The user is on the ‘Book a Stay’ page.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Search for any room.
  2. Tap the ‘Filter’ button.
  3. Check available amenities options.
Environment:

Actual Result:

In some parts of the application, messages and titles are only partially displayed. Text is either cut off or truncated on several screens. In some cases, there is no straightforward way to view the full content.

Expected Result:

Text should be fully visible on every screen. Alternatively, the user should have the option to expand/view the full content of messages and titles.

While testing the app, I identified several issues, including those related to the relevance of a user’s location, state synchronization, loading management, the responsiveness of several actions, and the consistency of the UI throughout the app. The application has strong potential, but I recommend comprehensive functional and usability testing to improve its performance.
