Bugs Found in Wanderboat: Local Guide for iOS
Wanderboat AI is an innovative platform that helps travelers plan their routes and discover new and interesting locations in US cities. It leverages AI search to help users select places that match their desired vibe, be it a quiet cafe for work or a stylish speakeasy for a night of fun. The app also allows you to make reservations or order delivery directly.
During our bug crawl of Wanderboat, the QAwerk team uncovered several bugs that could compromise the effectiveness of this great system. We invite readers to explore our findings, understand the implications of these bugs, and learn how addressing them can significantly improve user experience and system performance.

The displayed posts do not correspond to the selected or preselected location in the app.
The posts should correspond to the selected or current location. Alternatively, the system should clearly indicate whether the posts are displayed globally, regardless of the selected location.

After incorporating audio preferences into the ‘Book a Stay’ process, the search spinner remains visible for over two minutes without displaying any stay options.

In some parts of the application, messages and titles are only partially displayed. Text is either cut off or truncated on several screens. In some cases, there is no straightforward way to view the full content.
Text should be fully visible on every screen. Alternatively, the user should have the option to expand/view the full content of messages and titles.
While testing the app, I identified several issues, including those related to the relevance of a user’s location, state synchronization, loading management, the responsiveness of several actions, and the consistency of the UI throughout the app. The application has strong potential, but I recommend comprehensive functional and usability testing to improve its performance.
