Bugs Found in Spinach AI SaaS

Spinach AI

Spinach AI is an app that creates meeting transcripts and summaries and translates them into 100 languages. It integrates with Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor, as well as corporate communication tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Google Meet.

The app lets you easily manage meeting records, no matter where they take place, with everything stored in one place and easy to access. Its integrations also enable immediate action, as you can automatically create tickets or send emails.

We thoroughly tested Spinach AI during a bug crawl, and while core functionality performed satisfactorily, we found some issues. A few of the bugs we discovered are critical, as they compromise the app’s security and major features. See the detailed breakdown of these issues and suggested fixes below.

I identified several bugs while testing Spinach AI, including a critical issue where the chatbot discloses its system instructions. I recommend testing the app’s critical flows and adding security testing focused on prompt injection for the AI chatbot.
