Bugs found in Fairy Village for iOS
Fairy Village is a cute and cozy game that allows players to build fantasy villages for little thumblings in the Fae Forest. The design is lovely, and the gameplay is relaxing and lets you show off your creativity through multiple customization options for decorations.
We tested the game thoroughly to see how entertaining the gameplay really is. It’s impossible to deny that the game is fun and engaging. However, we discovered a few bugs that can interfere with your enjoyment. Read below to see what issues we’ve uncovered when building cute fairy houses.
User cannot close Furniture window in application
Critical
No special preconditions are required.
- Launch the app.
- Open the “Furniture” window.
- Attempt to close the window.
OS: iOS 26.0.1
Device: iPhone 14
The “Furniture” window remains open without any option to close it. The closing “X” button and/or other User Interface (UI) controls are absent. The user cannot proceed with the game unless they forcibly restart the application.
The “Furniture” window should close immediately after tapping the “X” button or performing any intended closing action, allowing the user to continue gameplay without interruption.
User cannot drag and drop items from Furniture screen
Critical
No special preconditions are required.
- Launch the app.
- Navigate to the “Furniture” screen.
- Attempt to drag and drop any furniture item into the environment.
OS: iOS 26.0.1
Device: iPhone 14
The drag-and-drop feature does not work on the “Furniture” screen. There is no visual response when attempting to move or place items, with the game’s progression being halted as a result. The issue can be temporarily resolved by restarting the application.
The user should be able to drag and drop furniture items smoothly to place or reposition them, allowing normal game progression.
Redundant Privacy Policy link displayed on iOS app
Minor
No special preconditions are required.
- Launch the app.
- Navigate to the “Terms of Service and Privacy Policy” confirmation screen.
- Observe the “Privacy Policy” link inside the text.
OS: iOS 26.0.1
Device: iPhone 14
Two separate “Privacy Policy” links are displayed. One is embedded within the text and is clickable and functional. The other link is displayed below the text. It offers no additional functionality or value, merely duplicating the above link.
Only one “Privacy Policy” link should be displayed to avoid confusion and ensure a cleaner interface.
When testing Fairy Village, I identified three bugs, ranging from minor to critical functional issues that directly impact gameplay. Applying industry-standard QA practices and leveraging QAwerk's expertise in mobile game testing could significantly improve the players’ experience. This will not only enhance satisfaction but also raise retention and monetization rates.
