Bugs found in CryptoRank Tracker & Portfolio for Android
The CryptoRank app provides market participants with the cryptocurrency tools to gather crucial data, analyze Token Sale performance, customize watchlists, manage DeFi Portfolio, and set Price Alerts.
CryptoRank offers professionally curated research and price analysis, allowing players to explore crypto market movers and trends and, therefore, make more informed trading decisions. CryptoRank’s unique market analytics include Monthly and Quarterly Returns for each crypto, in-depth IDO/IEO insights, as well as performance indicators such as trading volume, and market cap.
Upon running quick tests, our QA engineers found some bugs in the CryptoRank app. Here are the results of our work.
Unable to log in with Facebook
Severity:

Precondition:
- The application is installed.
- The Facebook account is configured on the device.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open the application.
- Click the 3 line menu button in the top left corner.
- Click the “Log In” button.
- Click the “Continue with Facebook” button.
- Select Facebook account from Precondition 2 and confirm.
Environment:
Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 8.0.0
Actual Result:
Facebook confirmation pop-up closes. The user is not logged in.
Expected Result:
Facebook confirmation pop-up closes. The user is logged in.
Unable to delete account
Severity:
Major
Precondition:
The application is installed.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open the application.
- Log in or sign up.
- Click the 3 line menu button in the top left corner.
- Click the “Delete Account” button.
- Click the “DELETE” button in the pop-up.
Environment:
Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 8.0.0
Actual Result:
The pop-up closes. The user is still logged in. The account is not deleted.
Expected Result:
The pop-up closes. The user is logged out. The account is deleted.
When current balance is hidden, balances of each coin are still shown on the donut chart
Severity:

Precondition:
- The application is installed.
- The account is created.
- The wallet with non-zero balance is linked.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open the application.
- Log in.
- Click the “Portfolio” navbar menu item.
- Click the “Allocation” tab.
- If “Current Balance” is shown, click the “Eye” icon to hide it.

Actual Result:
Although the current balance is hidden, balances of each coin are still shown on the donut chart.

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open the application.
- Click the “Watchlist” navbar menu item.
- Click “Filter coins” search input.

Mobile keyboard is expanded. Navbar item titles overlap their icons.

Mobile keyboard is expanded. Titles & icons of navbar items are displayed correctly.
I've found 2 major bugs in this app, such as inability to log in with Facebook and delete the account. I believe that with continuous QA effort, CryptoRank will be able to prevent similar defects in the future.
