Uber Eats App for iOS: Weekly Bug Crawl by QAwerk
Now, one of the most popular taxi service apps can not only take you to the point of your destination but also deliver food from your favorite restaurants through the Uber Eats: Food Delivery app. Users can easily choose foods to their taste, order a fast delivery to any place on the map and track the order in real time. Very convenient, isn’t it? But our team has found some bugs in the app during our weekly Bug Crawl. Check out them in the report below!
A new photo is not displayed on the ‘Account’ page right after upload.

Precondition:
The account is already registered.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- Go to the ‘Account’ tab.
- Tap the photo icon.
- Tap the ‘Edit account’ button.
- Upload photo from gallery.
- Go back to the ‘Account’ page.
Environment:
iPhone X, iOS 12.1.1
Actual Result:
Just uploaded photo is not displayed on the ‘Account’ page.
Expected Result:
Just uploaded photo is displayed on the ‘Account’ page at once.
The invitation cannot be sent to a friend.

Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- Go to the ‘Account’ page.
- Tap the ‘Promotions’ menu item.
- Tap the ‘Invite Friends’ button.
- Try to share info via ‘Messages’/’Gmail’/’More Options’.

iPhone X, iOS 12.1.1
Actual Result:
‘Messages’ and ’Gmail’ buttons are not tappable, ‘More Options’ item is empty.
Expected Result:
The promotion code is shared successfully if it’s valid.
Nothing happens after tapping the ‘View Terms’ button on the ‘Promotions’ page.

- Launch the app.
- Go to the ‘Account’ page.
- Tap the ‘Promotions’ menu item.
- Tap the ‘Details’ button.
- Tap the ‘View Terms’ button in the appeared pop-up.

Actual Result:
Nothing happens.
Expected Result:
The page with separate info is opened successfully.
Special instructions to Chief can be added with invalid text input.

- Launch the app.
- Add some items to the Cart.
- Go to the ‘Your Cart’ page.
- Tap the ‘Add a Note…’ button.
- Enter some text and tap the ‘return’ button several times
- Enter additional text.

Actual Result:
The text is entered under the keyboard and is not visible.
Expected Result:
The text is shown in the visible part of the input field.
There is no an item name on the ‘Account’ page.

- Launch the app.
- Go to the ‘Account’ tab.
- Pay attention to the item between ‘Settings’ and ‘About’ items.

The item name is missing.
Expected Result:
The item has name.
