Bugs found in MeisterLabs SaaS
MeisterLabs is a SaaS platform that offers users the ability to create mind maps and notes. It serves as a versatile tool catering to a variety of organizational needs.
Beyond its core functions, Meister also features a tracking platform that enables users to create and manage tasks. The fusion of these elements makes it a comprehensive tool for individual and team productivity.
Our QA team conducted an exhaustive examination of MeisterLabs SaaS to identify any potential bugs or flaws that might affect its performance. In this Bug Crawl report, we present our findings and insights into the platform’s operation.
No validation for invalid email addresses when creating invite request

Precondition:
The user has created a project on https://www.meistertask.com/app/dashboard.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Click the ‘Invite’ button in the ‘Add members’ section on the workspace.
- In the email field, type ‘f@q.’
- Click the ‘Invite’ button.
- Click the ‘Invite’ button again.

Actual Result:
The invite was sent.
Expected Result:
Validation should appear, indicating that the email is not valid.
Theme not reset to default after clicking 'Reset theme' button

The user has created a mind map on https://www.mindmeister.com/folders.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Click the ‘Themes’ button.
- Select any theme from the list.
- Click the ‘Reset theme’ button.

The theme was not changed.
Expected Result:
The theme should be changed to default.
Text of branches overlaps after user clicks 'Auto align' button

The user has created a mind map on https://www.mindmeister.com/folders.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create 3 branches.
- Copy a large text (use Lorem ipsum generator).
- Paste the text into created branches.
- Click the ‘Layout’ button.
- Click the ‘Auto align’ button.

The text of created branches is overlapping.
Expected Result:
Nothing should overlap.
Mind map icon not updated after duplicating

The user has created a mind map on https://www.mindmeister.com/folders.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Click the 3 dots button next to the created mind map.
- Click the ‘Duplicate’ button.

Actual Result:
The icon of the duplicate mind map is the default.
Expected Result:
The icon of the duplicate mind map should be the same as the original.
During my time testing MeisterLabs, I came across several bugs, particularly concerning validation. These findings highlight areas for potential improvement, ensuring a smoother user experience.
