Bugs found in Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for Android
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is a mobile app for booking hotels in more than 80 countries. Apart from booking, the app offers a couple of extra handy features, such as checking in and out right from the phone, texting the front desk, and ordering food delivery or takeout from local restaurants. On top of that, the app adds fun to the whole experience with stamps for stays and in-app achievements. With an effective and convenient rewards system in place, Wyndham Rewards members get the opportunity to track their points and exchange them for exclusive offers at a range of hotels and vacation club resorts.

“Webpage not available” error is displayed after tapping the “Learn More” button

“Search hotels” button opens the search bar only from the second tap

- Tap the “Search hotels” button.

Actual Result:
Nothing happens after tapping the button for the first time. However, if you tap it one more time, the page opens.
Expected Result:
The page opens after tapping the button for the first time.
The day value of the last update is wrong
Severity:

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open the app.
- Tap the “My account” button.
- Select and tap the “App info” button on the list.
Environment:
Huawei Nexus 6P + Android 8.1.0
Actual Result:
Take a look at the data of the last update. At the moment of testing, the day value on Google Play was Nov 23, but the app showed Nov 18.
Expected Result:
The date of the last update matches the respective info on Google Play.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts app has all the must-haves of modern booking platforms, such as the option to save hotels to favorites, cancel a reservation, and share info with friends. Overall, the app has much potential, yet it requires more QA effort to eliminate such major bugs as crashes and glitching buttons.
