Bugs found in Santa Clarita Mobile App for iOS
Santa Clarita is a mobile solution designed to bridge the gap between the needs of Santa Clarita citizens and the efforts of the local government. Reporting to the authorities has never been easier: take a picture of what bothers you, like a pothole or a graffiti, specify the location, add a brief description of the issue, provide your contacts, and submit your request. What makes the app even more appealing is that it has an option to report anonymously, catering to the needs of those people who may feel concerned about their privacy, yet still would like to contribute to improving the city infrastructure. Apart from submitting service requests, the app users can also check the latest news and events to stay updated and remain active members of the Santa Clarita community.
Since we had worked with web platforms for citizen request management in the past, we were curious to test a mobile version designed with the same mission in mind. If you are interested in what Santa Clarita bugs we managed to detect, keep reading.

The app is basically a must-have for all Santa Clarita residents as one can submit a service request on-the-go, with no bureaucracy involved, and check the latest news and events just in a few taps. Santa Clarita Mobile functions quite well; at the same time, some bugs pop up right after opening the app, which undermines its overall positive impression. Among the most noticeable issues I found are empty pages and a disabled emergency call button.
