Bugs found in Skiplagged for iOS
Skiplagged is a travel app that monitors amazing deals on hotels and attractions. The application tracks the changing rates and suggests them to users based on their budget and location. With Skiplagged, travelers can also gather and recommend discounts on popular tourist destinations in real-time. Skiplagged for iOS is free and available for download on all devices.
We were amazed by the cheap deals available on this app, so we decided to check it out for bugs. Read on to see our detailed Skiplagged bug report.
The standard Apple keyboard overlaps the ‘Share’ button and the ‘Referral link’ field

Precondition:
The user must be logged into their account.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- Select ‘Rewards’ by pressing it.
- Once you’ve been redirected to the “Summary of Rewards program” tab, scroll down to the “Your own link” text.
- Press the ‘Referral link’ field.
- Pay attention to the next result.
Environment:
iPhone 5, iOS 10.3.4
Actual Result:
The standard Apple keyboard overlaps the “Referral link” field & “Share” button, so the user is unable to look at the actual referral link before sharing.
Expected Result:
The standard Apple keyboard doesn’t overlap the “Referral link” field and “Share” button, so the user can look at the actual referral link before sharing.
The user cannot fully observe the “Details” section of the selected Hotel

Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- Select the ‘Hotels’ tab.
- Select the first one from the list: “Hotel Scherman”.
- Select the ‘Details’ section.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the section.
- Pay attention to the next result.
Environment:
iPhone 5, iOS 10.3.4
Actual Result:
The user cannot fully observe the ‘Details’ section of the selected Hotel.
Expected Result:
The user is able to fully observe the ‘Details’ section of the selected Hotel.
The ‘Phone’ field is not aligned to the grid in the ‘Preferences’ section of an account

The user must be logged in.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- Press the ‘Account’ tab.
- Press the current account name, like [email protected].
- Take a look at the next result.
Environment:
iPhone 5, iOS 10.3.4
Actual Result:
The ‘Phone’ field is not aligned to the grid compared to other fields in the ‘Preferences’ section.
Expected Result:
The ‘Phone’ field is perfectly aligned to the grid in the ‘Preferences’ section.
Skiplagged uncovers unique travel deals and hotel rates. You can also use them to find affordable flights. Unfortunately, this application has several UI issues like overlapping keyboards and flawed text field alignment.
