Bugs found in Pocket Casts – Podcast Player for Android: QAwerk Bug Crawl
Pocket Casts is a world-renowned app that provides a top-notch listening experience for podcast fans. The easy-to-use app offers an intuitive interface to search and discover the best podcasts from around the world.
With the Pocket Casts app, you can save individual episodes to your library for further listening. You can also create and customize a personal playlist for an uninterrupted listening experience.
The podcast platform offers an excellent user experience with the option to select light or dark themes. Users can also sync their accounts across all Android, iOS, and web devices.
We have decided to put Pocket Casts through a QA test due to our fascination with these user-oriented entertainment apps.
The 'Colour & Icon' options are not available for selection after entering a name when creating a new filter

- Launch the app.
- Tap the ‘Filters’ tab.
- Tap ‘+’ to add a new filter.
- Tap the ‘Duration’ option to filter by duration.
- Enable the ‘Filter by duration’ toggle option.
- Tap the ‘Show results’ option.
- Tap ‘Continue’.
- Tap the ‘New Filter’ field to enter a name.
- Observe that the ‘Colour & Icon’ options are hidden from selection.

Actual Result:
When creating a new filter, the ‘Colour & Icon’ options are deactivated from selection after typing a filter name.

A blank page is displayed after confirming the changed password

- Launch the app.
- Tap the ‘Profile’ tab.
- Tap the ‘Pocket Casts Account’ button.
- Scroll down and tap on ‘Change password’.
- Fill in the required fields and tap on ‘Confirm’.
- Observe a blank page with the buttons ‘Done’ and ‘Close’.

The playback toolbar does not work

Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- On the ‘Discover’ tab, filter ‘Search Podcasts’ by video.
- In the video list, select any clip like ‘TED Talks Daily (SD video)’ (for instance).
- Scroll down to the newly opened page and tap on the first video.
- Press ‘Play’.
- Tap the video to zoom out.
- Tap the ‘Zoom’ icon in the top right corner.
- The video zooms in.
- Tap the video panel again and press the ‘Zoom out’ icon.
- Press ‘Pause’.
- Observe that the playback toolbar appears at the bottom.
- Tap the ‘Play/Scroll forward/Scroll back’ button on the playback control panel.

Pocket Casts is an intuitive app that gathers all your favorite podcasts in one place. The app allows you to share, download, filter, and import user files. While using this app, I discovered several UI defects that affect the app’s overall functionality, albeit to a minuscule extent.
