Kommunicate is a versatile customer communication platform that integrates AI and social media channels to streamline support via real-time chat. By offering customizable workflows and automated responses, it empowers businesses to resolve inquiries efficiently. However, our Bug Crawl uncovered several issues that could hinder seamless customer interactions and administrative controls.

Below are the bugs identified during our analysis, along with details and recommendations for resolving them.

User can delete bot phrases only for himself, not for client

Severity:

Major

Precondition:
  1. The user is on the “Conversations” page.
  2. Chat with the client is created.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Right-click a bot phrase.
  2. Click “Delete.”
  3. Check the chat from the client side.
Environment:

Windows 10 x64
Browsers: Chrome 131.0.6778.264, Firefox 134.0, Edge 131.0.2903.112

Actual Result:

Bot phrases remain visible to the client.

Expected Result:

A “Delete for all” option should remove the bot phrases from both sides.

Delete button is not active on “Welcome message” page

Severity:

Major

Precondition:

The user is on the “Bot integration” page.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Go to the “Default Fallback” section.
  2. Check the “Delete” button.
  3. Go to the “Intents” section.
  4. Check the “Delete” button.
  5. Go to the “Welcome message” section.
  6. Check the “Delete” button.
Environment:

Windows 10 x64
Browsers: Chrome 131.0.6778.264, Firefox 134.0, Edge 131.0.2903.112

Actual Result:

The “Delete” button is disabled on the “Welcome message” page.

Expected Result:

The “Delete” button should be enabled to remove content.

There is no “x” icon for translation functionality

Precondition:
  1. The user is on the “Conversations” page.
  2. Chat with the client is created.
Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open the client chat.
  2. Click the translation functionality button.
  3. Attempt to close the translation modal by clicking outside the window.
  4. Search for an “x” icon to close the modal.
Environment:

Windows 10 x64
Browsers: Chrome 131.0.6778.264, Firefox 134.0, Edge 131.0.2903.112

Actual Result:

Users can only exit the translation modal by clicking the translation icon again.

Expected Result:

An “x” icon or click outside the modal should close it.

I found missing functionalities and incomplete features that impact both agent and client experiences. Introducing proper validation checks and iterative regression testing after major releases will help keep Kommunicate’s chat services smooth and user-friendly.
