Bugs found in GIPHY World: AR GIF Stickers for iOS: QAwerk Bug Crawl
This app’s mission stands concise and straightforward: “Google for GIFs.” GIPHY World allows its users to inflate the real world around them with GIFs & stickers, offering an enormous library of visuals to everyones’ liking. This augmented reality app provides new possibilities to a highly popular internet mainstay, given that 22.7% of all the websites online use GIF. Make GIF and stickers-enhanced videos to ensure your posts and messages really stand out throughout all the popular platforms like Facebook & Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Twitter. Our QA engineers have tested an iOS app, yet keep in mind that there is a version available on Google Play as well.

The icons for several sticker packs are not displayed

- Launch the app.
- Tap the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Swipe to the left to see the following sticker packs: “The Operating System,” “Age of the Dinosaurs,” “Wild West.”
- Observe the results.

Actual Result:
The “Operating System,” “Age of the Dinosaurs,” and the “Wild West” icons are not displayed in the “Sticker packs” section.
Expected Result:
The “Operating System,” “Age of the Dinosaurs,” and the “Wild West” icons are not displayed in the “Sticker packs” section.
The "Search" field unexpectedly changing its placement after switching the slider's position from the "Sticker" to the "Gifs" search

Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the “Search Stickers” field and enter something into the field or select a word from the list, e.g., “the.”
- Switch the slider position to the “Gifs” by tapping it.
- Observe the results.

Actual Result:
The “Search” field misaligns after switching the slider’s position from the “Sticker” to “Gifs” search.
Expected Result:
The “Search” field is properly aligned at all times.

- Launch the app.
- Take a look at the sticker list placed above the “Search stickers” field.
- 2.1 Mode “Search stickers” is set by default.
- Switch the slider position to the “Search Gifs” by tapping it.
- Observe the results.

Switching the slider position doesn’t bring any changes.
Expected Result:
Switching the slider position from the “Sticker” search to “Gifs”, results in the display of Gifs animations’ list.
The icon of "Share to" action overlaps the "GIPHY world" text after the video was recorded

Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch the app.
- Tap the “Record” button (1 – 2 seconds of video recording is enough).
- Tap the “Stop” button.
- Once the video recording stopped, the user observes two action icons: “Overwrite” and “Share to”.
- Observe the results.

Actual Result:
The icon of “Share to” action overlaps the “GIPHY world” text after the video was recorded.
Expected Result:
All the UI elements are properly aligned.
I've noticed that the latest update of the app was on November 8, 2017. Such testing scarcity results in the accumulation of bugs and negatively impacts user satisfaction. Missing and misaligned UI elements were the major issues I found during the testing. The application requires immediate bug fixing and UI update.
