Key features of Act! SaaS include centralized customer data management, email marketing, sales pipeline management, marketing automation, and business analytics. The platform integrates with popular email and calendar applications, providing a seamless workflow for businesses.

We at QAwerk manually tested Act! SaaS and identified several areas where improvements could be made to enhance the user experience and overall performance. We hope our findings will be valuable to the Act! SaaS team as they continue to develop and refine their product.

Excessive page load time across website

  1. Open Act!
  2. Browse through the website.
  3. Observe that the loading time for each page is significantly higher than the typical loading time for an average website.

Expected Result:

The page load time should be at an acceptable level for users to minimize user frustration and abandonment.

Poor visibility of buttons in “Contact” page header

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open Act!
  2. Open the “Contact” page.
  3. Notice that buttons in the “Contact” page header are hard to read.

Actual Result:

The buttons in the “Contact” page header are difficult to read due to poor visibility.

Expected Result:

All buttons in the “Contact” page header should be clearly visible and easy to read.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open Act!
  2. Open the “Partners” page.
  3. Notice that there is no search button in the “Partners” tab.

There is no search button in the “Partners” tab.

Expected Result:

There should be a search button or some hints for users on how to use filters.

User can request password restoration for nonexistent account

There is no existing account associated with the tested email address.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Open Act!
  2. Open the “Login” form.
  3. Click on the “Having trouble logging in?” link.
  4. Enter an email that has not been used to create an account.
  5. Notice that the user can request to restore a password of an account that does not exist.

The user can request to restore a password of an account that does not exist.

Expected Result:

Users should not have the ability to request password restoration for accounts that do not exist.

Header buttons are not highlighted upon selection

  2. Hover the mouse pointer over any button in the header.
  3. Notice that buttons in the header are not highlighted upon selection.

Header buttons are not highlighted upon selection.

Expected Result:

Selected buttons should be highlighted to show users which tab is active.

Act! offers a wide range of helpful features, albeit with a few common bugs that might disrupt the user experience, even during the initial session. I found two major issues, with one of them related to application performance, a crucial factor for today's users.
